Description
The Mâcon-Villages from Maison Ropiteau Frères comes from 43 municipalities located in the Mâconnais, a wine-growing area in southern Burgundy that stretches over more than 1,800 hectares. Unlike the more northern regions, the soils here consist mainly of clay, silica, and granite. These peculiarities give the white wines of the area a distinctive mineral freshness, lighter and more lively compared to those from the Côte d’Or.
Made entirely from Chardonnay grapes, the wine is vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and aromatic integrity. The aging process occurs partially in steel and partially in barrels, creating a perfect balance between liveliness and roundness.
In appearance, it presents a beautiful golden color with greenish highlights. The nose is elegant and subtle, with expressive aromas of herbs and flowers, including lemon, mint, and honeysuckle. The palate is fresh, soft, and well-balanced, with a good acidity that echoes the same herbal and floral sensations.
It pairs well with mixed salads, sushi, poultry, veal in creamy sauce, risottos, or goat cheeses.
