Description

Artù is a red produced by the Fattoria San Lorenzo winery in the Marche hills surrounding Jesi.

It is made up of 60% Montepulciano grapes and 40% Sangiovese. They come from old vineyards located at an altitude between 300 and 400 meters above sea level, defined by a clayey and calcareous soil, very mineral. The harvest takes place in early October, when the grapes are fully ripe. The vinification takes place in steel and ends with a refinement period of 24 months, of which 18 in French oak barrels. A final 6-month maturation period in the bottle makes the wine ready for marketing.

Ruby red. The nose reveals fruity traits of cherry and ripe red fruit, licorice, cocoa and a slight spicy trace. In the mouth it introduces a beautiful aromatic set supported by a full and enveloping body, managed in a rather smooth tannin. Closes in excellent persistence.

To be combined with a beef stew.
