Description
Le Vecchie di Lanciani is an organic Trebbiano produced in the hills of Montefiore dell’Aso at 450 meters above sea level, on clay soils and vineyards with an average age of about sixty years. Made from pure Trebbiano grapes, it represents an authentic and refined expression of the Marche region, capable of combining tradition, varietal identity, and a contemporary vision.
Vinification takes place in ash wood vats, a choice that allows for a fermentation process that respects the fruit and the raw material. The wine then matures in second-use barriques and tonneaux for twelve months, a period during which it develops aromatic complexity and balance, harmoniously integrating the notes from the wood.
It appears bright straw yellow with golden highlights. On the nose, it offers a rich bouquet of ripe fruit with hints of pear and apple, accompanied by notes of grapefruit, delicate floral nuances, vanilla, and sweet spices. On the palate, it is full and enveloping, supported by good acidity which brings freshness, while the long finish reveals an elegant touch of toasted wood.
It pairs perfectly with oven-baked sea bass with aromatic herbs, tagliatelle with prawns and saffron, roasted white meats, and aged or blue cheeses.
