Description

The Tuscan Maremma Ornello di Rocca di Frassinello was born in vineyards located in the municipality of Gavorrano, in the province of Grosseto.

It is produced with Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah grapes, harvested exclusively by hand between the end of August and the first half of September according to the vintage of the individual varieties. Vinification takes place traditionally in steel at controlled temperature. After the malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for 6 months in half new barriques, and for a further 6 months in glass before being released on the market.

The Ornello di Rocca di Frassinello has an intense ruby red color. The nose opens with pleasant balsamic notes, enriched with elegant notes of roasted coffee. In the mouth it reveals fruity and silky, with soft tannins.

Perfect to accompany red meats and important roasts, it is ideal in combination with medium-aged cured meats and cheeses.
