Description
What kind of wine is it
Méditerranée Blanc La Croix by Château Peyrassol is a white wine from Provence made primarily from Rolle with a small proportion of Ugni Blanc. It is characterized by aromatic freshness and a clear fruit profile, thanks to fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel and brief ageing that keeps it agile and balanced.
Where does it come from
The grapes come from Provence, in southern France, in the Méditerranée area. Château Peyrassol carefully selects the best terroirs, sharing agronomic practices with partner winegrowers to achieve a coherent and recognizable style, true to the local identity.
How is it produced
The winemaking takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, a choice that helps preserve the aromatic freshness. This is followed by a brief maturation, again in steel, on the fine lees, which supports the palate continuity without altering the fruit expression.
Tasting notes
In the glass it is brilliant, with a yellow color and delicate golden reflections. The nose reveals floral notes and hints of fresh grapes. On the palate, the freshness comes through elegantly and leads to a clean finish where citrus nuances return.
Food pairings
At the table, it matches dishes where precision and zest are key: it pairs well with sea bass ceviche with citrus, a fresh goat cheese salad with grapes and walnuts, and seared scallops with celery cream, where its freshness enhances marine sensations and the citrus finish stands out.
When to serve
It is ideal when you seek an immediate and well-defined white, perfect for an aperitif or seafood lunch. Serve chilled, around 8–10 °C, to highlight the floral aromas and citrus character; a short aeration in the glass can bring out the fruit notes even more. Best enjoyed young to make the most of its vibrancy.
