Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG Sacer 2008 Còlpetrone
Description
Montefalco Sagrantino Sacer was born in the Colpetrone and San Marco vineyards of Tenute del Cerro, located in the Montalcino area. Thanks to a very particular terroir, the Sagrantino grape takes on completely original and unique characteristics.
Obtained from pure Sagrantino grapes, harvested and carefully selected by hand, this wine, after the classic red winemaking processes, ages for 18 months in French oak barrels of first and second passage. It then refines another 3 years in the bottle where it stabilizes all the organoleptic characteristics.
It has a ruby red color with garnet reflections. The nose is complex and very elegant, with confectioned notes of berries and spicy sensations of leather, licorice and chocolate. In the mouth it shows a great body and an enviable elegance, mirror of the territory of origin.
Wine that can age up to 20 years, it goes well with important dishes based on red meats, game and stewed meats.
