Description
Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Anfora by Cirelli originates in the province of Teramo, in Abruzzo. It is made from 100% Montepulciano grapes.
Fermentation is started using indigenous yeasts and completed with an aging period of approximately 12 months in terracotta amphorae, where the wine also undergoes malolactic fermentation.
In the glass, it displays an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it offers notes of black fruits such as blackberries and blueberries, set against a background of Mediterranean scrub and aromatic herbs, finished with hints of balsamic and spices. On the palate, it is intense and balanced, both in tannic components and softness. It finishes with a rich and fresh persistence.
Perfect to pair with fresh pasta dressed with a lamb ragout.
