Description

Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Mazzarosa is produced in Casal Thaulero near Roseto degli Abruzzi.

With south-southwest exposure, the vines are relieved on gentle hill slopes and on clayey soils. After harvesting in the second or third week of October, the wine is de-stemmed and fermented to face a 2-year barrel ageing, of which 4 months in the bottle.

Beautiful intense ruby red with violet reflections, it opens on the nose with full and fruity hints of black cherry, cassis, accompanied by a slight spiciness. The red fruits and a light toasting return to the palate for a wine of great freshness, with a non-aggressive tannin that guarantees a soft and long-lasting sip.

Perfect to serve with vegetable soup, fresh pasta with meat sauces, red meats and pork.
