Description

The Montescudaio Castello Ginori dei Marchesi Ginori Lisci was born in vineyards located in the Pisan municipality of Montescudaio, in the heart of the Upper Maremma.

It is produced entirely with Merlot grapes, harvested and selected only by hand in mid-September. Fermentation takes place, with maceration, in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 30 ° C, for 25-30 days. Subsequently the wine ages for 16-18 months in medium toasted French oak barrels and for another 16 months in bottle before being marketed.

It has a purple, bright and concentrated red color. The nose opens with dense aromas of ripe, red and black berries, enriched with toasted and spicy hints. On the palate it is warm and round, with soft tannins that accompany towards a long and fresh finish.

Perfect to accompany baked lamb and stewed wild boar, it is ideal in combination with typical Tuscan meat dishes such as Peposo di Chianina.
