Description

Signature Cabernet Sauvignon by Chappellet is a red wine from Napa Valley originating from the hillside vineyards of Pritchard Hill, where dry, rocky soils produce small, concentrated grapes rich in character. Predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, with Petit Verdot, Malbec, and Merlot, it expresses a structured and long-lived style, yet immediately impresses with its varietal intensity.

The production involves careful vineyard management, including cluster thinning to ensure uniform ripening and greater aromatic complexity. The winemaking process is aimed at preserving concentration, balance, and depth, enhancing the fruit's richness and the natural tannic structure typical of Napa Valley hillside wines.

In the glass, it displays a dark, intense, and concentrated color. On the nose, it reveals aromas of cassis, black cherry, and blackberry, accompanied by notes of fresh herbs and nuances of vanilla, cardamom, and cloves; on the palate, it is full and enveloping, with soft, polished tannins, layers of dark fruit, spices, dark chocolate, espresso, sage, and anise, culminating in a long and decisive finish.

It pairs elegantly with ribeye steak, roasted or braised lamb in red wine, and holds up to rich dishes with structure and aromatic depth.
