Napa Valley Zinfandel AVA Founders' Estate 2020 Beringer

A name, a place: the Zinfandel, a grape variety from overseas, immediately evokes the Californian sun and the vineyards as far as the eye can see.

It consists of 100% Zinfandel grapes, grown on the land of the wine growing area known as Red Hills Lake County. It carries out both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in steel, and then refines in oak barrels, French and American, for a period of about a year.

The fruity texture dominates the nose in a combination of raspberry, cherry and blackberry, followed by spicy notes of cinnamon, vanilla and pepper. Fresh, savory, with a well-managed tannin. It persists in the long memory of the fruit.

Ideal in combination with a pasta with meat sauce.
