Description

Nebbiolo d'Alba is produced by the Lodali winery, founded in the countryside of Treiso, in the province of Cuneo, in the early 1900s by Giovanni Lodali. The grapes come from vineyards located in Pocapaglia.

It consists exclusively of Nebbiolo grapes, which, after crushing-destemming, are vinified with maceration on the skins of approx. 12 days. The wine then ages in 24hl Slavonian oak barrels for a few months, to conclude the refinement with 3 months in the bottle.

Ruby red in color with garnet reflections, the wine reveals aromas of violets, plums and spices on the nose. The sip is dry and round, quite structured, with a long persistence.

It goes ideally with pasta with meat sauce, both beef and sausage, roasts and aged cheeses.
