Description
Il Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva Sotto Casa is a red wine produced by Podere Boscarelli, a historic winery located in the hamlet of Cervognano di Montepulciano, in Tuscany. Founded in 1962, the estate was born from Egidio Corradi’s dream of crafting wines that would showcase the character of the terroir with elegance and personality. The vineyards lie on stony soils rich in red alluvial clay, which lend the wine structure and depth.
Made from a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, each variety is vinified separately, with fermentation in oak vats and the use of indigenous yeasts. After a maceration that can extend up to 18 days, the wine ages for between 28 and 32 months in Slavonian and French oak casks. Following the final blend, it rests in bottle for a few months before release.
Deep garnet red in color, this wine displays a complex aromatic profile, with notes of ripe red fruits, subtle hints of green bell pepper, leather, tobacco and delicate balsamic nuances. On the palate it is elegant and enveloping, with a savory, well-balanced structure, enriched by hints of ripe morello cherry, licorice and polished tannins.
It pairs perfectly with hearty dishes such as braises and roasts, elevating their flavors with its refined complexity.
