Description

Guardavigna red wine is produced by Podere Forte, located in the beautiful Val d'Orcia. The company is managed by Pasquale Forte, who in managing the vineyards and cellar is inspired by the principles of biodynamics and the thoughts of Rudolf Steiner.

It is made exclusively of Cabernet Franc grapes, which are vinified with spontaneous fermentation in French oak vats, with a 30-day maceration. Both the malolactic fermentation and the 18-month aging take place in French oak barriques and tonneaux. This is followed by at least 15 months in the bottle.

Ruby red in color with garnet reflections, it opens on the nose with aromas of red fruit and vegetal notes, enriched with spicy notes. In the mouth it is dry, with excellent structure and long persistence.

Excellent to accompany roast game.
