Description
Astoria’s Prosecco Superiore Extra Dry Anniversario is produced with Glera grapes grown on the hills of Valdobbiadene at about 250 meters above sea level. The vineyards, with an average age of about twelve years, ensure an optimal balance between yield and quality. Harvesting takes place in September to preserve freshness and aromatic integrity.
The hand picking is followed by white vinification with gentle pressing of the grapes, static settling of the must, and fermentation at a controlled temperature of about 16 °C. The secondary fermentation occurs in an autoclave for 20-25 days at 16 °C, followed by about 15 days of aging on the lees. The wine is further refined in bottle for at least 40-60 days before release to the market.
It shows a fine, elegant, and persistent perlage, with a pale straw yellow color. On the nose, it offers an intense and clean bouquet, characterized by fruity notes and the typical floral aroma of Glera. On the palate, it is pleasantly smooth, full-bodied, savory and harmonious, with a refreshing finish that makes it easy to drink.
Ideal as an aperitif, it pairs perfectly with light appetizers, finger foods, fish dishes and seafood.
