Description
Joven Roble is a red wine produced by Pago de los Capellanes, in the heart of the Ribera del Duero, a famous Spanish wine region. Made from Tempranillo grapes, this wine is known for its open, dynamic, and pleasant character, perfect for convivial moments and informal occasions. Its fresh and immediate style makes it suitable for versatile consumption, while maintaining the typical elegance of the denomination.
The grapes come from vineyards at least 25 years old, located in the municipalities of Pedrosa de Duero, La Horra, and Gumiel de Mercado, on poor clay-limestone and stony soils. After a six-day cold maceration, fermentation takes place in stainless steel under controlled temperature, followed by spontaneous malolactic fermentation at low temperature and periodic bâtonnage. The wine matures for five months in French oak barrels.
In appearance, it shows an intense cherry-red color, with ruby reflections and violet tones. The aromatic profile offers intense scents of ripe red and black fruits such as currant, blackberry, and plum, accompanied by floral notes of violet and spicy hints of coconut, vanilla, and cloves. On the palate, it is broad, fresh, and harmonious, with soft and sweet tannins and a long, aromatic, and persistent finish.
Ideal for pairing with grilled red meats, cured meats, aged cheeses, spicy dishes, or tapas with mushrooms and vegetables.
