Description
Tinto Crianza is a red wine signed by Pago de los Capellanes, born from a demanding and austere territory in the prestigious Ribera del Duero. This wine embodies the philosophy of the winery, expressing energy, precision, and elegance. A child of cold hills with clay and sandy soils, it combines the maturity of the vine with balance and refinement, offering an intense and harmonious experience.
The Tempranillo grapes come from vineyards about 35 years old located in Pedrosa de Duero, La Horra, and Gumiel del Mercado. The vinification process includes a three-day cold pre-fermentation maceration at less than 12°C, followed by fermentation in stainless steel with selected native yeasts and phenolic control. The malolactic fermentation occurs spontaneously at low temperature, with periodic bâtonnage of the lees. The wine ages for twelve months in French oak barrels.
It presents an intense cherry red color with ruby and blue hues. The bouquet is intense and clean, with notes of ripe red fruits like currant and cassis, and black fruits like blackberry and plum. Floral hints of violet and spicy nuances of vanilla, coconut, and cloves emerge, well integrated with the wood. On the palate, it is structured, silky, and powerful, with lively and sweet tannins. The finish is long and rich in aromas and sensations.
Perfect paired with roasts, game, grilled meats, aged cheeses, and rich dishes of traditional Spanish cuisine.
