Rioja DO Gran Reserva Faustino I 2012 Bodegas Faustino
Description
The Rioja Gran Reserva Faustino I of Bodegas Faustino is born in vineyards located in the municipality of Oyón, in the province of Álava, in the heart of the DOC Rioja.
It is mainly produced with Tempranillo grapes and with Graciano and Mazuelo grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 30 ° C for 15 days. Subsequently, the wine ages for 26 months in French and American oak barrels, and for a further 3 years in bottle before being placed on the market.
It has a bright ruby red color tending to brown. The nose opens with an intense and complex bouquet, with hints of wild fruits accompanied by pleasant spicy notes. On the palate it is elegant and round, with spicy hints due to the passage in the barrel and a long and velvety finish.
Perfect to accompany mushroom rice and red meats, it is ideal in combination with mature cheeses and fatty and structured fish.
