Rioja Reserva DOC Oscar Why 2012 Vinto
Description
The Oscar Why Reserva represents the Cru of the The Big Question About Wine line, launched by the newly born Spanish company Vinto in the main wine markets. This wine comes from vineyards located in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, in the heart of the autonomous region of Rioja.
It is produced with a skilful blend of Tempranillo and Graciano grapes, hand-picked with great care during the month of October. After fermentation, the wine evolves for 20 months in French and American oak barrels and then ages for 2 years in the bottle, where its organoleptic preciousness is perfected.
It is characterized by an intense ruby red color, with garnet reflections. The nose dominates the scene with red berried fruits and sweet spices. In the mouth it shows a wine of great elegance, with soft and velvety tannins. The fruity finish also offers a pleasant persistence.
To be tasted with cold cuts and meats typical of the Iberian peninsula, this wine has good aging margins. Also ideal with grilled meats and well-aged cheeses.
