Description

The Viña Arana Gran Reserva is an elegant and refined red wine produced by La Rioja Alta, the result of a skillful blend of Tempranillo and Graciano from the vineyards of Rodezno and Fuenmayor. It perfectly expresses the new interpretation of Gran Reserva, maintaining the depth and persistence typical of the great classics of Rioja, with a contemporary and vibrant style.

The harvest is carried out manually with careful selection of the bunches in the vineyard and subsequent refrigerated transport to the winery. After an optical selection of the berries, the must naturally ferments, followed by a spontaneous malolactic fermentation. The wine matures for three years in American oak barrels, with six traditional manual rackings done by candlelight, and is bottled without aggressive filtering to preserve its aromatic purity.

On the eye, it appears clean and bright, with an elegant ruby color and garnet reflections. The bouquet is intense and fragrant, with balsamic notes, brioche, toasted bread, vanilla, and cinnamon, accompanied by aromas of black plums, wild strawberries, blackcurrant, and red berries. On the palate, it is well-structured and balanced, characterized by a pleasant freshness, smooth tannins, and a fresh, delicate, and persistent finish.

It pairs perfectly with red meats, stews, spiced fish, and desserts based on red fruits or chocolate.
