Description
The Rosso di Montalcino by Terre Nere is produced in Tuscany from 100% Sangiovese Grosso grapes grown at an altitude of 251 meters, on soils characterized by a composition of marl, silt, and clay. This wine expresses freshness and authenticity, with a youthful yet refined profile.
The vines are trained using the Guyot method and the harvest is done manually. After a 15-day maceration in steel, the wine matures for eight months in large barrels and subsequently for one year in the bottle, achieving balance and expressiveness.
The color is ruby red with garnet highlights. On the nose, it reveals notes of morello cherry and violet. On the palate, it is fine, with still young but high-quality tannins, good freshness, and a pleasantly fruity aftertaste that enhances the drinkability.
It pairs well with meat-based pasta dishes, white meats, and medium-aged cheeses.
