Description
The Rosso Piceno Colle del Buffo from Terra Fageto is a red wine made from Montepulciano and Sangiovese grapes grown in the Campofilone area. Close to the coastal zone, the vineyards are located at about 250 meters above sea level on predominantly clay soils.
Harvested by hand during the first two weeks of September, the grapes ferment in stainless steel at a controlled temperature for at least 12-15 days. This is followed by spontaneous malolactic fermentation in steel until mid-November. The wine then matures for 12 months in steel and 6 months in the bottle.
With an intense, impenetrable ruby red color, it releases dense and refined aromas of black cherry, currant, and blackberry. On the palate, it is warm and harmonious, with pronounced notes of cherry, soft tannins, good structure, and noticeable persistence.
Ideal for flavorful first courses with red sauces, it is perfect with grilled red meats and aged cheeses.
