Description
Tenuta Pongelli Rosso Piceno from Villa Bucci is a red wine originating from vineyards located between 250 and 280 meters above sea level in the Castelli di Jesi area. The wine is made from a blend of Sangiovese and Montepulciano in equal parts. The clay-limestone soils and mixed training system provide ideal conditions for producing a harmonious and well-balanced red wine.
Vinification includes a 7-8 day skin maceration and fermentation in stainless steel. The wine is aged in wood for a period between 9 and 12 months, with the aim of softening the tannins and integrating the aromatic components without overpowering the fruit's freshness.
In the glass it shows a bright ruby red color. The bouquet offers notes of ripe red fruits, plum, cherry, and a hint of spice. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with smooth tannins and good acidity that make for a pleasant and harmonious sip.
Perfect with grilled white meats, pasta dishes with meat sauce, and traditional cured meats from the Marche region.
