Description

The Grand Cru 1er Grand Cru Classé B is produced by Château Pavie Macquin, named after its founder, Albert Macquin. Today, the estate manages 15 hectares of vineyards.

The grapes are vinified separately, partly in large open oak vats and partly in concrete. The wine is aged for 18 months, with 70% maturing in new French oak barrels.

Ruby red in color with violet nuances, it opens on the nose with a complex bouquet of plum compote, spices, coffee, and tobacco. The palate is structured and elegant, with ultra-fine tannins and a long finish.

Perfect with braised red meats, including game, and aged cheeses.
