Sicilia DOC Insolia Cubìa 2014 Cusumano

Cubìa was born in the vineyards of the Ficuzza di Cusumano estate, located within the Piana degli Albanesi, in the province of Palermo.

This wine is made entirely from Insolia grapes, the main grape of the area, harvested manually in the first ten days of September. After a cold maceration and subsequent static settling, the must ferments in 20hl barrels and remains on its fine lees for about 6 months. A period of aging in glass follows.

Cubìa di Cusumano has a straw yellow color with golden reflections. The nose has intense notes of very ripe yellow fruit, which are accompanied by citrus sensations of mandarin and pleasant herbaceous hints. In the mouth it releases a great freshness which, accompanied by a good flavor and excellent structure, brings a unique pleasantness and an intimate drinkability.

Perfect for the aperitif moment, this wine goes well with risotto based on fish, marinated and baked fish.
