St. Lucia Rum 2005 Plantation
Description
Plantation's St. Lucia Rum is made on the Caribbean island of Santa Lucia from sugar cane molasses. After distillation in pot still alembic still, this rum ages for 10 years in ex-bourbon barrels, followed by a further aging period of 18 months in cask, at the Château de Bonbonnet, in France.
Light amber in color, with golden reflections, Plantation's Rum St. Lucia opens to the nose with aromas of sugar cane, enriched with hints of overripe banana and floral notes, among which geranium and peony stand out. On the palate it is full and sweet and sour, with hints of caramel, honey and toasted.
Ideal for mixing, this rum is excellent to taste on its own or in combination with a good cigar.
