Stellenbosch WO Estate Reserve 2014 Morgenster

Morgenster's Estate Reserve wine is produced in one of South Africa's most suitable wine-growing areas, in the Stellenbosch area.

It consists of the classic grapes that make up the Bordeaux blend: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, with a small addition of Petit Verdot. The attention to the vegetative cycle of the plant and to the perfect ripening of the grapes is maximum and allows, during the harvest, to bring only the best bunches to the cellar. The wine is aged for 18 months in French oak barriques, 60% of which are new, whose aromatic contribution to the wine is therefore important.

The intense ruby red color traces the dark profile of this wine, which manifests on the nose with hints of ripe black fruit and jam, notes of coffee and tobacco. In the mouth it is full-bodied and balanced with soft and pleasant tannins.

To be paired with roast kid meat, stewed game.
