Description

The Alto Adige Lagrein Riserva Urban was born in the vineyards of the Tramin winery, located in the Bolzano municipality of Termeno, in the heart of South Tyrol.

It is produced with pure Lagrein grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand. Fermentation takes place in oak barrels at controlled temperatures. After malolactic fermentation, the wine initially refines in small French oak barrels before being moved to other larger barrels for a total of 14 months. After being bottled, it ages in bottle for 12 months, before being marketed.

Dark ruby red in color, Tramin's Lagrein Urban opens to the nose with pleasant hints of berries and violet, with subtle spicy notes of vanilla and tobacco. On the palate it is robust and full-bodied with soft tannins and a persistent and slightly fruity finish.

Perfect to accompany game dishes, soups and wood-fired pizzas, it is ideal in combination with mature and fresh cheeses.
