Description

Luigi Tecce's Taurasi Poliphemo comes from a vineyard that extends for just over a hectare, with plants with an average age of 80 years, located in Paternopoli di Avellino, in Campania, in the heart of the DOCG Taurasi.

It is produced with pure Aglianico grapes, harvested only by hand. Fermentation takes place, with maceration in contact with the skins, for 40 days in open chestnut vats. The wine then ages in tonneaux for 24 months on the noble lees before the subsequent bottling.

Luigi Tecce's Taurasi Poliphemo is dressed in a beautiful ruby red. The bouquet is complex and intense, with aromas of ripe plum that blend harmoniously with hints of rhubarb and white chocolate. In the mouth it is revealed fleshy and elegant and warm, with a good acidic shoulder and harmony, with an austere finish.

Wine to be kept for a long time, it is the perfect match with red meat roasts, game and aged cheeses.
