Description
Albarìa di Pellegrino is a fresh Sicilian rosé wine made from a blend of indigenous grapes from the province of Trapani. The vineyards lie about 20 meters above sea level on calcareous-sandy soils belonging to the Red Soils of the Mediterranean, characterized by a good balance between air and water and by a high water-holding capacity. The Mediterranean climate, with mild winters and warm, breezy summers, helps define its quintessentially Mediterranean character.
Harvest takes place in late September. The grapes undergo gentle pressing and then ferment at a controlled temperature; the wine then ages for about four months in stainless steel, preserving freshness and the fruit’s aromatic expression.
In appearance, it stands out for its delicate powder-pink hue. The nose reveals pleasant notes of wild strawberries, accompanied by intense hints of fresh almond and white flowers. On the palate it is soft and harmonious, with flavors that faithfully echo the aromas, supported by gentle tannins and good length.
Ideal with vegetable frittatas, raw seafood, and delicately topped pizzas.
