Description

The Calice del Conte represents one of the Cru of the Villa Travignoli company. This wine was born in the vineyards of the company, located in Pelago, in the province of Florence.

It is mainly made with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, harvested between mid-September and October. After the fermentation and racking processes, carried out in steel, the wine is left to rise in oak barriques for 18 months. Bottling and aging in glass follows.

The Calice del Conte Travignoli shows a ruby red color with garnet reflections. The nose shows good complexity and excellent elegance, with fruity notes of cherry and berries that go well with spices, tobacco and pepper above all. In the mouth it is velvety, well-structured and with smooth tannins.

Perfect with spicy oriental foods, it is excellent with grilled and braised red meats.
