Description
What kind of wine is it
Poliziano's Toscana Rosso "Le Stanze" is a red wine made predominantly from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, complemented by Merlot. This varietal combination yields a structured yet fresh wine with an elegant aromatic profile. It represents an international expression alongside the estate's native varieties.
Where it comes from
The grapes come from vineyards located in the municipality of Montepulciano, in Tuscany. Harvesting is carried out exclusively by hand, a choice that allows for careful selection of the clusters destined for this wine based on Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
How it is made
Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with punch-downs supplemented by pump-overs for twenty to twenty-five days. The wine then ages in barriques for sixteen months before bottling, a process that builds its structure and balance.
Tasting notes
It shows an intense garnet red color. The nose opens with aromas of black cherry and blueberry, enriched by pleasant balsamic notes. On the palate it is fresh, balanced and structured, with silky tannins and sweet tones and a persistent finish.
What to pair it with
This Toscana Rosso is perfect with first courses with meat ragù and game. It goes equally well with roasts, braises and aged cheeses, where its freshness balances the tannic component.
When to serve it
It is a versatile wine, suited to meat-based meals all year round thanks to the balance between freshness and structure. It works well for convivial occasions as well as more demanding pairings with game dishes or braises.
