Description
The Tuscan red wine Il Radagio by Tenuta di Carleone originates from vineyards located in Radda in Chianti, in the province of Siena. The Tenuta di Carleone was founded in 2012 by Karl Egger, who, with the help of his friend Sean O'Callaghan, produces wines following the principles of biodynamic agriculture and minimal intervention winemaking.
The wine is made in equal parts from Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes, vinified in cement tanks for 5 months, followed by a year of ageing in the same containers.
Intense ruby red in colour, it opens on the nose with hints of red and black berries such as blueberries, wild strawberries, and currants. On the palate, it shows silky tannins and great balance.
It pairs very well with tagliolini with truffle and grilled meats.
