Description
What kind of wine it is
Tinata Monteverro is a red wine from Tuscany made from Syrah and Grenache grown in the Maremma region. The natural fermentation, managed separately for each parcel, aims to preserve the aromatic clarity and structure. The 16-month aging process, partly in French oak barriques and partly in egg-shaped concrete tanks, shapes a soft and velvety profile, backed by evident freshness and a fruity character with spicy nuances.
Where it comes from
The grapes come from vineyards located in the commune of Capalbio, in the province of Grosseto, at the heart of Maremma Toscana. This territorial context lends a Mediterranean character, where fruit ripeness finds balance in lively tension. The result is a red wine with a full yet smooth sip, with freshness lingering to the finish.
How it’s produced
Syrah and Grenache are hand-picked and carefully selected in September, then undergo natural fermentation. Winemaking is carried out separately for each parcel, in stainless steel tanks and barriques, thus keeping the different batches distinct. After fermentation, the wine ages for 16 months in French oak barriques; part of it matures in egg-shaped concrete tanks, a choice that favors integration and precision without pronounced oxidative notes.
Tasting notes
Deep ruby red with purplish hints. The nose recalls red currant, melon, and cherry, complemented by floral notes of tulip. The palate is soft and velvety, with a pleasant freshness supporting cherry and berry hints; the finish brings to mind tobacco, with a neat, lingering progression.
Food pairings
Pairs well with first courses and red meats thanks to its smooth texture and tobacco-accented finish. It’s also recommended with aged cheeses, where its structure and freshness help balance saltiness and richness. Pairings remain versatile whenever there are flavourful and succulent dishes on the table.
When to serve it
This red suits everyday dining when a soft yet structured profile is sought, and it’s perfect for occasions featuring more intense dishes. It can accompany lunches and dinners based on meat or be served with aged cheeses, maintaining a balanced and fluid stride. The aging between barrique and egg-shaped concrete tanks allows it to be enjoyed both in its fruity expressiveness and after further bottle maturation.
