Description
What kind of wine it is
Stilnovo is a red wine that expresses an essential, contemporary Tuscany. It comes from a blend of Teroldego, Merlot, Syrah and Sangiovese and is designed for fresh, smooth and immediate drinking, able to accompany everyday life without sacrificing character.
Where it comes from
The wine is crafted by Banfi and originates in Tuscany. The blend of four different varieties offers a modern interpretation of the Tuscan territory, aimed more at drinkability than at structure.
How it is made
The Teroldego, Merlot, Syrah and Sangiovese grapes ferment in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature, between twenty-five and thirty degrees, to preserve the freshness of the varietal aromas. Maturation continues in stainless steel with about six months on the lees, a step that rounds out the wine’s texture without weighing down its profile.
Tasting notes
It shows a bright red color with violet highlights. The nose is intense, with clear notes of cherry, blueberry and raspberry. On the palate it is supple, with barely perceptible, well-integrated tannins, while the savory, lingering finish confirms its overall balance.
Food pairings
Its easy-drinking character makes it suitable for everyday meals: it pairs well with tomato-based pasta dishes, cured meats, pizza and grilled white meats. It also works alongside fresh or semi-aged cheeses, for an informal, no-fuss meal.
When to serve it
Ideal for everyday dining, from lunch to casual dinners, in any season of the year. Serve at around sixteen degrees to highlight the freshness of the aromas and the wine’s softness on the palate.
