Description
The Sauvignon from the Ritratti line by Cantina La-Vis originates in the Avisian Hills, particularly from vineyards situated between Giovo and Meano, at an altitude ranging from 350 to 450 meters above sea level. The vines grow on soils of varying composition: in Giovo, the soil is shallow with a porphyritic base; in Meano, it is loamy-clay, well-draining, fertile, and deep. Both types of soil are very lively, providing ideal conditions for the authentic expression of the grape variety.
The grapes are hand-picked and selected in September. After gentle pressing, the must ferments and matures mainly in stainless steel, with a portion aged in French oak barriques. This winemaking technique preserves freshness and aroma while enriching the wine with complexity and structure.
In the glass, it appears straw yellow with greenish highlights. The bouquet is complex and mineral, with exotic notes of lychee and mango blending with hints of sage and flint. On the palate, it is savory and salty, boasting excellent structure and aromatic persistence, for a balanced and dynamic sip.
It pairs beautifully with shellfish dishes or fresh goat cheeses.
