Description

What type of wine is it

Trentino Pinot Grigio Vigna L'Omeri di Roverè della Luna is a white wine made from Pinot Grigio grapes from the Quaranta Jugheri collection. The winemaking involves fermentation in large oak barrels at a controlled temperature, followed by a long aging on the lees in the same vessels, to offer a full and smooth profile, with well-integrated freshness and continuous aromatic character.

Where does it come from

It originates from Vigna L'Omeri in Roverè della Luna, located in the northern portion of the area's alluvial fan. The vineyard, part of the Quaranta Jugheri collection, consists of vines aged 15-30 years. This precise origin delivers a Pinot Grigio focused on structure and balance, with a consistent expression between nose and palate.

How is it produced

The manual harvest allows for an initial selection of the grapes already in the vineyard. In the cellar, the Pinot Grigio is gently pressed and sent to ferment in large oak barrels at a controlled temperature. A long aging on the lees in the same vessels follows, supporting the wine’s breadth of flavor and consistent aromatic profile.

Tasting notes

It appears straw yellow in the glass. The bouquet recalls peach and ripe pear, with a return of vanilla due to the passage in oak and the extended lees contact. On the palate it is full and smooth, with notable freshness and an aromatic complexity that echoes the fruity sensations perceived on the nose.

Pairing suggestions

At the table, it pairs easily with risottos, where its structure supports the creaminess of the dish. It also works well with fried foods, as the freshness helps balance the richer elements of the bite. In Trentino cuisine, pairing it with Carne Salada is suitable for both consistency of flavor and aromatic persistence.

When to serve it

It is recommended when you seek a full and smooth white wine, able to combine freshness and complexity with balance. The fermentation in large oak barrels and the long aging on the lees make it suitable for dining occasions where an orderly and complete drinking experience is desired. It is best appreciated when it can clearly express both its fruity component and vanilla notes.
