Description

What kind of wine it is

Giulio Ferrari is a sparkling wine classified as Trento, made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes. The winemaking process follows the strict rules of the Traditional Method, ensuring a full and velvety profile. It’s born from meticulous selection to provide an elegant and harmonious style, ideal for elevating the entire tasting experience.

Where it comes from

This Trento comes from the Maso Pianizza vineyard, located on the hills of Trento. Its geographic position gives the wine a distinct identity and ties its character to a precise and recognizable origin. Citing this single vineyard strongly enhances its terroir fingerprint and highlights the great care devoted to the raw material.

How it is made

Production begins in mid-September with the harvest of Chardonnay. Secondary fermentation in the bottle follows the Traditional Method, with slow maturation on selected lees for about ten years. This lengthy aging is key to shaping the structure of this Extra Brut sparkling wine, giving it a continuous and balanced flavor profile.

Tasting notes

In the glass, it displays a bright straw yellow color, adorned with elegant golden highlights. The aroma offers an ethereal bouquet in which the fruit notes typical of Chardonnay merge with hints of honey, vanilla, and white chocolate. On the palate, it is finely structured with a pleasantly velvety body and a persistent finish of hay and acacia honey.

Food pairing

The complexity of this wine matches perfectly with appetizers and first courses and particularly enhances dishes based on fish and shellfish. The elegance of the sip supports the delicacy of the main ingredients and is an ideal choice for seafood risotto. It also pairs beautifully with Italian dishes like spaghetti alle vongole, highlighting their lasting aroma.

When to serve it

It's perfect when you seek an Extra Brut with long persistence, whether as a meal opener or for a dinner devoted entirely to seafood specialties. Its profound structure makes it suitable for focused tastings, allowing you to best appreciate its mature nuances. It's a recommended choice to accompany the menu, as it maintains technical precision and consistency from start to finish.
