Description
What kind of wine is it
Trento Rosé Extra Brut by Maso Martis is a Metodo Classico sparkling wine made from Pinot Nero grapes. It displays a fine and persistent perlage that enhances freshness and vibrancy. The bouquet features small red fruits and almond, while the palate is fresh and savory after aging on the lees in the bottle for at least 36 months. Vinification in steel and the prolonged lees aging provide structure and complexity, with a pleasurable drinkability.
Where it comes from
This sparkling wine is produced in Trentino, a region historically dedicated to Metodo Classico production and careful viticulture that respects the territory.
How it is made
Harvesting is done by hand in small crates to preserve the integrity of the grapes. After gentle pressing, the must remains in contact with the skins to extract the color and typical aromas of Pinot Nero. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature. In spring, the base wine is bottled with selected yeasts for refermentation according to the Metodo Classico. Aging on the lees lasts at least 36 months, followed by the Extra Brut dosage.
Tasting notes
On sight, the wine is of a pale pink color with cherry tints and a fine mousse. The nose offers raspberry, wild strawberry, and currant, with a delicate note of almond. The palate is fresh and lively, with savoriness supporting the profile and an elegant perlage enveloping the mouth. The finish is dry and persistent.
Pairings
Trento Rosé Extra Brut by Maso Martis pairs well with raw seafood, red prawn tartare, and swordfish carpaccio. It is ideal with spaghetti with clams, seafood risotto, and mixed fried fish. On a regional note, it matches well with baccalà alla vicentina or octopus salad with potatoes. Its freshness also suits fresh goat cheeses and grilled vegetable dishes.
When to serve
This sparkling wine should be served chilled in tulip glasses to enhance both its perlage and aromas. It is ready to drink from opening. Well-suited as an aperitif, during summer lunches or festive occasions, it offers a precise and versatile character.
