Description

Rosso L'U was born in the estates of the Lungarotti company, in Umbria. The name emphasizes the link between the company and the territory, L'U as Umbria by Lungarotti.

This wine is made from Sangiovese, Merlot and other complementary grapes, harvested between the end of September and the beginning of October. After a short maceration and the fermentation processes carried out in steel, the must is left to rise for eight to ten months in barrique. It follows aging in glass for about 10 months before being put on the market.

It has a beautiful ruby red color and immediately offers a good aromatic intensity, with notes of morello cherry, sour cherry and fruit in alcohol, which combine well with spicy hints of cocoa, coffee and vanilla, due to wood. In the mouth it shows a good structure, supported by an interesting freshness and harmonious tannins.

It goes very well with creative spicy pork or lamb based foods, excellent with a good pizza and with seasoned and blue cheeses.
