Description
The Alta Reserva Tannat of Gimenez Mendez is born in vineyards located in Las Brujas (Canelone). The company is family-run and the oenologist is Mauro Giménez Mendez, the youngest son.
After the harvest and the manual selection of the grapes, the grapes undergo a pre-fermentation maceration of 6 days, followed by fermentation at 18-25 ° C for 12-15 days. Aging takes place in French and American oak barrels for 9 months.
In the glass the wine has an intense ruby red color. The nose reveals aromas of ripe red fruits and spicy hints. On the palate it is powerful and persistent, with a long finish.
Recommended to accompany roasted and grilled red meats, lamb, first courses and aged cheeses.
