Description
The Valtellina Superiore Inferno Riserva is a red wine produced by Casa Vinicola Aldo Rainoldi, a historic winemaking establishment founded in 1925 in Lombardy. This wine is made from the Nebbiolo variety, locally called Chiavennasca, which expresses itself best in the steep vineyards of Valtellina, located between 350 and 550 meters above sea level in the municipalities of Montagna in Valtellina, Poggiridenti, and Tresivio.
The vinification involves aging in small oak barrels for about 18 months, followed by blending in stainless steel tanks for two months before bottling. The wine is then refined in the bottle for a year in dark, cool cellars, ensuring a complex and elegant evolution, typical of the best expressions of Valtellina Nebbiolo.
With an intense ruby red color, this wine offers a refined bouquet with notes of small red fruits, spices, tobacco, and thyme. On the palate, it stands out for its richness and density, with a long and persistent finish that highlights the great longevity of this label.
This wine is ideal when paired with red meats, game, and baked dishes with elaborate sauces, providing an enveloping and satisfying gastronomic experience.
