Description

Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso Mario from Tenuta Sant'Helena is a red wine made from vineyards located in the Collio Goriziano area.

It is made from 100% Refosco grapes, hand-picked, and 20% of which is partially dried for 8 weeks once in the winery. The vinification takes place with submerged cap maceration for 25 days, after which the resulting wine is aged for about 18 months in Allier and Slavonian oak casks of 30-60 hl.

With a ruby red color and garnet reflections, it offers aromas of ripe red fruits and spices on the nose. The palate is full-bodied, tannic, and has a good persistence.

It pairs perfectly with red meats and game, whether stewed or grilled.
