The name Valdo suddenly evokes the territory of Valdobbiadene, birthplace of Prosecco Superiore, where in 1926 was founded the same winery which will be one of the most appreciated brands of Venetian sparkling wine. In the 1930s the company was bought by the Bolla family, a historic family of Veronese winemakers, who only decided to adopt the name "Valdo" in 1951. The new property will give new reputation to the company, making Prosecco di Valdobbiadene very well known throughout the country and contributing to the qualitative growth of the cellar.
Among the cuvée of Valdo, in addition to the iconic Marca Oro, declined in the Oro Puro Brut and Cartizze versions, the Cuvée di Boj consists of a five-month long Charmat method that takes palce from selected grapes of the ancient locality "valle dei buoi ”. It is recently awarded by the guide Vini Buoni d'Italia of the Touring Club with the highest recognition.
