The history of the Poliziano winery began in 1961, exactly 60 years ago, when Dino Carletti bought the first 22-hectare nucleus moved by a romantic and passionate vision for his native land. Half a century of history of which Poliziano preserves the memory in a historical archive of vintages of his most long-lived wines, including the Nobile di Montepulciano.
Poliziano's Vino Nobile di Montepulciano , which comes from an aging in barrique for 16 months and is awarded nationally and internationally, has a character and a softness that allow it to evolve splendidly in the cellar, which is why it is the perfect red to give or treat yourself to a gourmet sip.
Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG 2017 Poliziano
The Nobile di Montepulciano di Poliziano was born in vineyards located in the municipality of Montepulciano, in the Sienese hills.
It is mainly produced with Prugnolo Gentile grapes, synonymous with Sangiovese, and with Colorino, Canaiolo and Merlot grapes, harvested only by hand. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature with punching down that integrate the pumping over. Subsequently the wine ages in oak barrels for 16 months before being bottled.
