Château Pedesclaux
Château Pédesclaux is an 1855 Grand Cru Classé from Pauillac, in the heart of the Médoc. Founded around two centuries ago, it has undergone a true renaissance since 2009, with the arrival of the Lorenzetti family, who restructured the vineyard, acquired new plots and thoroughly overhauled cellar work.
Architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte designed the estate’s new buildings, including a fully gravity-flow winery. Today Pédesclaux is run as a family business by Jacky, Françoise and Manon Lorenzetti, with Félix Pariente Lorenzetti serving as president of the estates as of 2025.
The vineyard extends over about 50 hectares, with roughly 350,000 vines on deep gravels, in places mixed with clays and limestone. The varietal mix comprises Cabernet Sauvignon (65%), Merlot (25%), Cabernet Franc (7%) and Petit Verdot (4%). After first trials in 2012, since 2019 the estate has been farmed organically, with compost, cover crops, massal selection and over forty manual interventions each year.
Alongside the grand vin comes the second wine Fleur de Pédesclaux. Château Pédesclaux is today one of the most dynamic estates in Pauillac.
