Amarone della Valpolicella - A classic from Verona

An inattentive cellarman forgets a few barrels of Recioto and this delightful mistake has meant that the alcoholic fermentation of Recioto continued uncontrolled bringing the wine to be completely dry. The Amarone boom took place in the 90s, thanks also to its ambassadors, such as Sandro Boscaini, who immediately understood its potential: today it is one of the most representative and appreciated reds in Italy. A very simple wine to understand and drink, for its soft tannin, for its inviting aromas, for its body, with character and personality. Autumn is the ideal season to enjoy this wine, which goes well with elaborate first courses as well as game-based second courses.
