We have reached the end of the year, time for rankings!

For Vino.com, the European region of the year is Champagne. An area renowned for its evocative bubbles, here you can find a perfect mix of attention to specific terroirs, precision wine making techniques and great communication skills.
Strictly produced with the classic method, Champagnes are mainly the result of the vinification of three grape varieties: Pinot Noir, Meunier and Chardonnay, the first two of which are red grapes. Four other grape varieties are little known, but allowed in the specifications.

Geographically, the Champagne terroir is complex and depending on the soil, certain grape varieties are preferred over others: from the mountain of Reims, you can taste the renowned Blanc de Noirs made from Pinot Noir and with a noble and powerful structure, or choose the Marne Valley with its soft and seductive Meunier. Finally, in the Côte des blancs, Chardonnay gives birth to fresh, fine and elegant Champagnes.

Champagnes are classified into three categories according to the area of production (Grand Cru, Premier Cru and Cru) and the types produced differ according to the grape variety used (Blanc de Blancs, Blanc de Noirs), the vintages used (Sans Année, Millesime) and according to the final dosage (the most widely drunk Brut, Extra Brut, Nature).

The name Champagne has always been linked to the concepts of prestige, luxury, elegance and charm, and above all, celebration. An everyday party, given the great variety of Champagne and its wonderful ability to adapt to any occasion.

There is no better way to end the year!
