Red wines

Easter is traditionally a time of rebirth and new beginnings, an opportunity to rediscover the joy of being with loved ones. Among the menu must-haves, eggs and fresh vegetables are essential, but it’s the traditional main courses—such as roast lamb or braised meats—that become the centerpiece of the banquet.

In this setting, red wine takes center stage, bringing intensity, warmth, and that complexity which only time can provide to the glass. Here’s how to choose the perfect red:

For rich first courses: If the menu includes lasagna with ragù or meat-filled ravioli, a Chianti Classico or Barbera d'Asti offers the right acidity to cleanse the palate and invite you to another bite.
For classic lamb: Here you need body and tannic structure. A Brunello di Montalcino, an Aglianico del Vulture, or a Cannonau di Sardegna are the perfect companions to highlight the bold, succulent flavor of this meat.
For a velvety touch: If you prefer a softer yet deep pairing, a Valpolicella Ripasso or a Merlot will envelop the dishes with their red fruit and spice notes.

Every special occasion deserves to be celebrated with the right wine: an excellent red is not just a companion, but the very symbol of conviviality and festivities renewed.
