Description
Chianti Classico Petrignano by Dievole originates from vineyards planted on stony soils, characterized by outcrops of limestone rocks typical of the Monte Morello geological formation.
The wine is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes. Vinification involves a fermentation process lasting 14-15 days in raw cement vats at a controlled temperature of 26-28 °C. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for about 18 months in French oak barrels (untosted) for approximately 13 months, followed by a further aging in the bottle for at least 3 months.
It has an intense ruby red color. The nose reveals pronounced aromas of ripe red fruit, blackberry, and cherry. On the palate, it is structured and warm, with smooth tannins.
This Chianti Classico boasts great aging potential and pairs perfectly with game, grilled meat, and aged cheeses.
